Shinok

Shinok was a township built into mountains that ringed the Sangmyung Valley. It was established by the Songkram Empire to expedite trade with Corgath.

Industry & Trade #

Other than the workers who directly contributed to the running and development of the town, the only tradesmen in Shinok were miners. The mountains it was built upon had an incredible wealth of valuable minerals deposited near its center for reasons unknown.

Shinok experienced a major influx of new miners from Fuga a decade after it was founded, mostly due to the increasing scarcity of unmined mineral veins within Mong's Bore.

Infrastructure #

This town's infrastructure was built into the incline of the mountain chain near the border of Songkram territory. An elaborate system of pulleys and rails made it possible to move around on the incline. Although it was a slightly dangerous and inconvenient way to build a town, this was necessary to allow miners to scale the mountain for their work much easier instead of needing to be gone for weeks at a time.

Natural Resources #

Shinok's mines held an abundance of gold, silver, copper, and various gems.
